RACE OVERVIEW
Since 1989, endurance athletes have traveled from across the country and around the world to test their limits against the Vermont 100 Endurance Race.
Featuring unrelenting rollers that add up to 17,000 feet of climbing, the VT100 winds its way over country roads, through forested trails, and alongside breathtaking views of the southern Green Mountains.
Join us for the 30th race this July 21-22nd on Silver Hill Meadow in historic West Windsor, VT.
QUICK HISTORY & VERMONT ADAPTIVE
The VT100 is among the four oldest 100 mile races in the United States, the only remaining 100-miler that includes a concurrent horse race, and is a part of the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning.
Since its conception in 1989, the VT100 has always been an important fundraiser for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, a local nonprofit that provides outdoor recreation opportunities for people with disabilities.
Glancing back at the crowd giving me a standing ovation will be one of the things I will remember as long as I’m around. Looking at the race results to find I was the oldest runner to complete the race this year meant as much. Running with crutches is just something I’ve done for 4 years. …I might be slow but hell, I finished the VT 100.
Dave R. | AWD Ultra Marathoner
[The RD] took the time to greet and congratulate just about every finisher when they hit the finishing line. I’ve never experienced that before, and it meant a lot.
Shana Jackson | VT100 Finisher
I couldn’t have picked a better first 100 to run.
Josh | Ultra Marathoner
My biggest motivation for wanting to come back is to raise money for [Vermont] Adaptive. I am a elementary Physical Education teacher and teach some adapted PE classes. I know how much programs like Vermont Adaptive can mean to my students and their families.
Renee | Ultrarunner & Fundraiser
We cannot begin to imagine the amount of time, effort, hard work, planning, and logistics that goes into putting on such a successful event. We’ve both enjoyed running, crewing, and pacing the event during different years and we’ll be excited to be back again! Thanks too to all of the wonderful volunteers, behind the scenes people, and landowners who make it possible.
Mike & Kristy | VT100 Finishers, Crew, and Pacers!
Everything about the race was fantastic. The course markings were superb, the aid stations and volunteers were superb and helpful at every turn. …Although I’m relatively new to ultra running, I have been a competitive runner for most of my life and I can honestly say that this race is the best I have ever seen.
Silas | Ultra Marathoner
I couldn’t ask for anything more for my first 100 miler. Definitely a world class event.
Alex | VT100 Finisher
The race, my first 100k, was awesome, but so were the volunteers, the organization, and of course Vermont. My wife who is nice enough to put up with my running adventures and to crewed for me also had a great experience. There is a unique feel to this race that is really special, we are so glad to have been a part of it.
Rob | VT100-KM Finisher
Harvie at the Mile 95 aid station …saved me by fashioning a makeshift poncho out of a heat shield and duct tape. In fact, I saw multiple examples of volunteers going WAY beyond the call of duty to help runners.
Tom | Ultra Marathoner
Thank you so much for a great event! I really appreciate what you and all the volunteers do for us runners. Thank you as well for all the encouraging words as I struggled through the day!
Keith McWilliams | Ultra Marathoner
This was my first 100 miler and I honestly could not have asked for a more special experience. I love everything about the VT100 – the sense of camaraderie among runners, volunteers, and the community at large is so unique and makes for an unforgettable and truly moving experience.
Lizzy D. | Ultra Marathoner
Great race, great organization, volunteers, aid stations, everything was perfect!
Benoit | Ultra Marathoner
I understand how difficult it is to pull off an event with all the details and logistics… [Amy] and [her] team are near PERFECTION! Even my crew and pacer …kept saying… “wow, this course is so well marked and these aid stations are great, etc.”
Jamie R. | Ultra Marathoner
